Getting paid to drink wine in the comfort of your own home sounds like a dream job – and we can reveal that a company is looking to pay someone to do just that.

The specialist cruise company Cruise Croatia happen to be on the hunt for a wine taster to try out a selection of local Croatian wines at home.

The company will ship a case of wine to the successful applicant and pay them £100 for their hard work.

In return, Cruise Croatia asks the wine taster to provide them with a written review of each of the wines sampled, to help the cruise company continue to develop their food and wine cruise offering.

The wine taster’s insights will help to ensure that Cruise Croatia are continually providing guests of their Food and Wine Cruise with the best Croatian wine experience.

Cruise Croatia are keen to raise awareness of the fine wine produced around the country. And you could be on the forefront of the worldwide breakthrough of Croatian wine. The company says Croatian wine remains somewhat of an undiscovered gem in the wine world and they are hoping that raising awareness will eventually lead to further support for local Croatian wineries in these challenging times.

The company is looking for a wine enthusiast who knows their Pernod from their pinot grigio, and who enjoys sampling new food and drink from around the world.

They want someone with tuned in tastebuds who can really identify the unique notes and flavours of each wine, and someone with a flair for words who can encapsulate their thoughts on each wine in a comprehensive and effective review for Cruise Croatia.

A love of travel and an enthusiasm for small and local businesses would also be an advantage.

Croatian wine has a history dating back over 2,000 years, and is produced across four main regions of Croatia – Dalmatia, Uplands, Slavonia & Danube and Istria & Kvarner, providing a wide range of diversity across different wines produced in the country.

If you’re up for the challenge, you can apply here. Complete the application by stating why you are the best fit for the job.

Good luck!
