Needham Community Education shares spring offerings
Spring is here, and NCE invites residents to get outside and safely engage in programs that will get them thinking, moving, exploring and creating. Their outdoor offerings include Introduction to Bird Watching; Hand Drumming Outdoors; Intro to Tai Chi and QiGong; Middle Eastern Outdoor Cooking; Make Your Own Birdbath; Beginning Golf Clinic for Women; walking tours in various Boston neighborhoods; Emerald Necklace Bike Tour; Wine Tasting: Rose All Day; Foraging for Edible Plants; and Grilling with Josh Ziskin. Aside from these outdoor programs, NCE will continue offering virtual classes in an array of topics, from home and garden related classes to studio art, foreign languages to health and wellness and more. Needham Community Education shares summer offerings
After being restricted in movements for over a year, this summer will be a time to get out there and enjoy life to its fullest. Residents can enhance their summer with an NCE class. NCE offers a limited number of programs in the summer, but they are curated to be unique, with a focus on activities that are well-suited to the season and fun. Some programs will be virtual, both for the convenience of being able to take them from wherever residents are this summer, and also for those who remain cautious about re-entry. NCE’s in-person programs are either outdoors or in spaces where people can easily socially distance.
There are family-friendly activities, such as Backyard Astronomy, Moonlight Kayak Tour on the Charles and Campfire Guitar for Beginners. Other offerings will be fun to take with friends, such as Basket Weaving, Mosaic Tile Frame and Planter, Rubber Stamp and Decorative Stationary, walking tours and Beginning Golf Clinic for Women. The NCE Adult Summer Programs catalog has something for everyone, and programs are open to high school and college students.
