Mike Hayes is a football loving Queensland winemaker who is striving to save the Australian wine industry from climate change.
While growing up in Stanthorpe, he tragically lost two sisters before leaving school at the age of 15 to work with his father in local vineyards.
Decades later he travelled the world finding wine varieties from Europe that would withstand the demanding Australian seasons.
He’s on a mission to save not only the wine industry in Australia, but worldwide by creating the very first ‘vineyard of the future’.
