TV personality/actor Jenny McCarthy and actor/singer Donnie Wahlberg, residents of St. Charles, will be among the celebrities participating in “Top Hat Ball Upside Down: Our Ball, Your Ballroom,” a fundraiser for nonprofit organization Marklund, which provides education and services for children and adults with profound disabilities.
The event will be live-streamed from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 6, and will also include appearances by comedian Pat McGann and actor Patrick John Flueger, who stars in “Chicago P.D.,” as well as an auction, a release said.
Marklund will honor Peg and John Haskins, of Lombard, as their Friends of the Year.
The nonprofit has campuses in Elgin, Geneva and Bloomingdale, and typically holds its Top Hat Ball fundraiser live in Chicago. The COVID-19 pandemic made holding a live event impossible, officials said.
Participants can create personal fundraising pages to benefit Marklund. The team with the highest fundraising total will win a choice of a pizza party and wine tasting for 20 guests at Aspen Lane Wine Company in spring/summer 2021 or a $1,000 Apple gift card.

The program will take place at 10 a.m. Feb. 4 via Zoom.
