At 6:30 p.m. on Zoom, Slavyanka Chorus is thrilled to present a rare chance to hear and learn about a dazzling part of Russia’s cultural heritage from two of Russia’s greatest artists of the genre – the ZINGARESCA Duo: Vadim Kolpakov and Oleg Timofeyev. The See’s Candy Fundraiser benefiting the Pollock Pines Camino Community Center takes place 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April 3 at the community center, 2675 Sanders Drive in Pollock Pines.

The Friends of the El Dorado Hills Library hosts an outdoor used book sale, noon to 4 p.m. March 26 & 27 at the library, 7455 Silva Valley Parkway in El Dorado Hills. For more information call (916) 358-3500 or visit friendsoftheedhlibrary.org.

Sentivo Vineyards and Winery, 7460 Fairplay Road in Fair Play, is having Happy Hour Firepit Friday, 5-8 p.m. Enjoy the winery’s wine along with appetizers in the socially distanced areas by the fire pit and other outside areas. El Dorado County Young Republicans Club will host a food drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lot on Missouri Flat Road across from the Walgreens. All donations will go to the Food Bank of El Dorado County.

The public is invited to participate in a shoe drive to raise funds for the ORHS Music programs. Donations of gently worn, used and new shoes will be accepted noon to 4 p.m. March 27 and April 3 at Oak Ridge High School’s west parking lot, 1120 Harvard Way in El Dorado Hills. Volunteers will be masked and can provide contactless pickup.

Arts & Culture El Dorado presents Expressive Therapies, a program for foster parents, adoptive parents and caregivers. The new session, Nature Drawing, offers classes 10-11 a.m. March 27 and April 3, 10, 17 & 24. In this free Zoom workshop, participants will explore the use of items found in nature with which they can draw in ink on paper. El Dorado County Fair & Event Center is hosting three Swap Meets/Flea Markets at the fairgrounds this spring. On Saturdays, April 3 and May 1, shoppers will find a wide variety of steals and deals, ranging from antiques, new items, crafts, collectibles and gently used items. Those looking for the thrill of the deal will not be disappointed. The Swap Meet is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission and parking is free. The fairgrounds are located at 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville. Shoppers and sellers should use the gate on Armory Road (next door to Raley’s). The Cordova Community Council is accepting submissions for its upcoming Black & White + One art show. In this show, artists can only use black and white and one other color. Colors may be blended to make other colors or hues, or the artist can paint or draw in black and white and add one other color as a glaze or accent. Photographers can digitally enhance a black and white photo with a “pop” of one color. Submission deadline is 6 p.m. March 29. For more information email [email protected].

El Dorado County wineries welcome visitors to outdoor tastings in their picturesque vineyards. Safety remains a top priority so the COVID-19 protocols remain in effect with adherence to sanitization and social distancing.
