Hampton is accepting applications from food vendors for the farmers market which is scheduled to begin June 2.
The market, which will take place at the Community Park in Hampton, will operate weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. The market is a rain-or-shine event that continues through Oct. 13.
Interested vendors can obtain an application at hampton-pa.org (farmers market page) or by emailing Bill Ryder at bill.ryder@hampton-pa.org.
Easter services
The Northmont United Presbyterian Church announced its Holy Week schedule:
• Palm Sunday: The service will be recorded and available online March 28 at 11 a.m. There also will be a parking lot service held at the same time (11 a.m.). Participants are encouraged to attend either service or both. The content will be the same for both services.
• Maundy Thursday/Good Friday: There will be a combined virtual service. This service will be live at 7 p.m. on April 1. The recorded version will be available after the service.
• Easter: The service will be recorded and available online at 11 a.m on April 4. There also will be a parking lot service held at the same time (11 a.m.). Participants are encouraged to attend either service or both. The content will be the same for both services.
The Hampton Presbyterian Church announced its Holy Week schedule:
• Palm Sunday: There will be two services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on March 28. Remember to bring your Fish Bank for the One Great Hour of Sharing.
• Maundy Thursday: The church will not host a soup supper on April 1. Families are encouraged to gather around their family table at home with a bowl of Lenten Bean Soup and homemade bread.
• Good Friday: There will be an hourly prayer vigil on April 2 and continuing until 9 a.m. on April 3. At 7:30 p.m., there will be worship service.
• Easter Sunday: There will be three in-person worship sessions and one virtual meditation April 4. A recording of the Easter Service will be avilable for later viewing, and there will be a brief virtual service available Easter morning.
The in-person services will be: Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. and located at the firepit; and the traditional Easter Worship services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Easter egg hunt
The Township of Hampton has asked local businesses to participate in this year’s Easter egg hunt by adding an Easter egg to their storefront window. Families are encouraged to drive around and find as many eggs as they can.
The socially distant Easter egg hunt will take place from March 27 to April 3. After completing the hunt, participants will fill out a form online to report how many eggs they found.
There will be prizes for families who find the most eggs. While residents and nonresidents can participate, only Hampton residents will qualify for the prizes. Winners will be announced April 6.

Hampton Community Cleanup Day
The Township will be sponsoring a communitywide program to help clean up township roadside areas of debris on March 27 from 8 a.m. to noon. Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt as a token of appreciation for their service. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, children younger than 16 must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian who can drive the children to the cleanup locations. All volunteers/volunteer groups must have a driver.
Should you be interested in volunteering, registration is required in order to schedule cleanup locations as well as provide T-shirt sizes. You can register on the township’s website at hampton-pa.org/cleanupday. Volunteers will meet at Hampton Community Center. Gloves, safety vests and trash bags will be provided at that time.
