Gerome (Jimmy) DeNardo, 85, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 2, 2021. He was born in Arena, Italy on July 20, 1935 to Maria Angela Ida DeNardo and Vincenzo DeNardo. Jimmy immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 with his sister Maria Teresa.
He lived in Stamford most of his life, and also resided in Stratford and Florida. He worked as an Electronic Technician for CBS for many years and was always the first in line to buy the newest technology. He was a talented vocalist and was known for his renditions of Spanish Eyes and My Way. He was also very artistic. He created a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa which is quite incredible. He loved bocce, bowling and making wine in his earlier years and was an avid movie buff and especially loved Western movies and “The 10 Commandments.” He also grew mangos in Florida and loved music, especially Dean Martin over Frank Sinatra any day. But his love of his family surpassed everything and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmy is survived by his two sons, Vincent DeNardo of Stamford and Remo DeNardo and his wife Kim of Trumbull, along with his grandchildren, Jennifer, David and Michael John. He is also survived by his siblings, Maria Teresa D’Agostino (Frank) of Trumbull and Frank DeNardo (Donna) of Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
