
The Firelands Symphony Orchestra is inviting the community to enjoy classical and contemporary music along with local wines and a menu of original culinary delights, according to a news release.
As part of Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s Around Town Tour, the Firelands String Quartet will perform a free outdoor concert at 6 p.m., June 18, at Sandy Ridge Vineyards in Norwalk.
The Firelands String Quartet’s program will feature a mix of classical, rock and pop tunes, according to the release.
Comprised of several Firelands Symphony Orchestra musicians including Concertmaster Ron Brooker (violin), Alice Weiss (violin), Rosalind Soltow (viola) and Brian Shifflett (cello), the program begins with a set from Italian violinist and composer Arcangelo Corelli with pieces from Concerto Groso – Per la note di Natale.
Other classical selections will include works by Handel, Brahms and Vivaldi.
Contemporary pieces will include pieces by The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses and Adele.
Freewill donations will be accepted, the release said.
