AUSTIN, TX — By now, it’s widely known that St. Valentine’s Day is largely a construct of the greeting card companies and flower peddlers intent on bolstering their sales. But to ignore this day of romance by doing nothing for one’s significant other is to poise oneself for landing in the doghouse.

To help prevent this from happening, Patch has assembled a dining guide showcasing culinary offerings tailor-made for couples on the amorous day. Many of the city’s finest restaurants are pulling out all the stops to create the ideal environment to showcase love and romance.

We’ve done our part in assembling some of the best offerings. Those choosing to ignore the day are on their own.
